About Claimable

Claimable is an AI-first company helping patients overcome insurance denials for the treatments they need. We automate the research, writing, and submission of appeal letters, and we partner with pharmaceutical manufacturers and their access partners to bring this service to patients. We've supported thousands of appeals and we're scaling our reach.

The Role

This role is responsible for how Claimable partners with life sciences companies (pharma, biotech, and biopharma manufacturers, referred to as “pharma” throughout this posting) and plays a key role in ensuring Claimable builds lasting trust and patient impact as we grow. You'll be the steady hand your assigned pharma clients rely on, accountable for the health of your portfolio as if it were your own business: overseeing its financials, operations, and relationships, while actively surfacing the trends, opportunities, and insights that keep it growing.

You'll own a dedicated pharma portfolio, anywhere from one to several accounts depending on the complexity of their support needs, giving you the ability to go deep with each partner. Deep fluency in the Claimable platform, along with an intricate understanding of patient and provider insurance coverage activities, is essential to this role. You'll need to know our product suite and capabilities well enough to represent them accurately and credibly to pharma stakeholders, and to translate real-world coverage requirements into simple terms that drive shared understanding and surface key market insights.

This role partners closely with Commercial leadership, Product leadership, and our Senior Manager, Implementation & Client Solutions, who owns the project management and workflow design of each launch. You own the overall business relationship and account health for your portfolio, from implementation kickoff through its entire lifecycle.

This is a senior individual-contributor role, not a people-management role. That said, we're looking for the experience level of someone who has managed high-value, complex pharma relationships before, likely at a specialty pharmacy, patient support program, or copay vendor. The best person in this seat is both a doer and a strategic thinker: someone who knows how to drive to action in a way that brings people along with them, while also knowing when to step back and see the bigger picture.

What You'll Do

Own & Cultivate the Partnership

• Act as the principal liaison for your pharma accounts, establishing deep-seated trust with brand, patient-access, and market-access organizations
• Acquire and maintain technical mastery of the platform to credibly communicate its value to stakeholders during evaluation or active utilization
• Relentlessly monitor and follow insurance coverage trends, including new benefit designs, customer experiences with insurance coverage, protocols for successful coverage outcomes and more
• Facilitate consistent client touchpoints and business reviews; deliver reports on metrics like overturn rates, payer insights and patient outcomes while distilling actionable trends
• Keep Claimable leadership, specifically Commercial and Product, apprised of the overall health and operational status of your specific portfolio
• Advocate for your clients internally, funneling critical market feedback to our engineering, product, clinical, and commercial departments
• Proactively identify potential risks to the account and resolve structural or relationship friction before it becomes an escalation

Steward the Portfolio Growth

• Take full ownership of every pharma account as its own business unit, tracking financial performance, utilization patterns, and long-term trends
• Identify and introduce tactical improvements to the workflow that increase patient reach and offer strategic value to our life sciences partners
• Equip Product and Commercial teams with coverage and market intelligence to guide our roadmap and strategic company priorities
• Manage the lifecycle of contract renewals and scope expansion to ensure the long-term sustainability and expansion of every manufacturer program
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Implementation & Client Solutions to navigate new launches and maintain relationship continuity during transitions

What You Bring

• 5+ years in account management, client success, or client relationship management within pharma, specialty pharmacy, patient support programs, copay/hub vendors, or healthcare technology serving pharma
• Deep, ongoing fluency in insurance coverage activities: formulary exceptions, prior authorizations, appeals, and the nuance to understand how this works differently in pharmacy vs. medical benefits
• Fluency in the pharma patient-access world: patient support programs, hubs, specialty pharmacy, prior authorization, and the denial/appeal landscape, enough to speak clients' language and represent their interests
• Demonstrated ability to own executive-level client relationships and manage account health and growth
• Owner's mindset, both a doer and a strategic thinker: you dig into what a client is trying to accomplish, know how to drive to action in ways that bring people along, and know when to step back and see the bigger picture
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across both client and internal teams

Nice to Have

• Experience launching or managing a manufacturer-sponsored patient support / copay / access program
• Familiarity with specialty/rare disease therapeutic areas (e.g., dermatology, respiratory, GI, oncology)
• Exposure to API or technical integrations between vendor platforms and pharma hub/SP systems

How We Think About This Role

This is a relationship, retention, and outcomes role, not a sales-quota or transactional role. Success here is measured by more patients on the appropriate clinical therapies for their needs, a healthy and growing portfolio performance, and pharma clients who renew and refer.

How we manage client portfolios is one of the ways we differentiate ourselves from competitors, and one of the ways we build lasting trust as we grow into more pharma relationships. This role is central to both, which is why deep fluency in the Claimable platform and in the insurance coverage landscape matters so much: clients need to trust that you understand their world well enough to solution accurately, not just relay what we've built.

Great Portfolio Managers know their portfolio's numbers (appeal volume, turnaround times, overturn rates, patient outcomes) cold, because they're closely embedded in every account they own. They're also comfortable moving between modes, rolling up their sleeves to solve an immediate problem, and stepping back to spot the trend or opportunity underneath it.
